Let’s Celebrate Literature!

All about the day!

My favourite part of the festival was running an activity with my crazy friends. We did colouring in and a word search. So many kids came and did it. I had a wander around the colouring space and all I saw was smiling faces and kids having a great time with their buddies. Outside our junior school are some of the amazing colouring in pages people gave to us. I didn’t see one person with a frown.

Something that I learnt from Mark Wilson is the real concerns of animal wildlife extinction. I am thinking about doing Sea Shepherd as my community service in year 6.

Check out their website at:

https://www.seashepherd.org.au/

He is so passionate about helping the wildlife. Most of his books are about Australian history (The Great Wars), and Australian wildlife. Here are some of his books:

Mark Wilson was amazing to listen to. He is so passionate about what he does. See you soon!

Have you ever had an author come and speak to you?

Amazing books

The story of Anne Frank.

The war that saved my life.

I love books!

I love reading everything to do with the Second  World War, the Nazi, and the Jews. Pretty much Historical Fiction. I love learning about the people’s feelings and emotions during that time. I find it very interesting to read about bombs, how it would be like to be alive then and the history behind it all.  This year The War That Saved My Life has definitely been my favourite book chat.

It is about world war 2 and a girl that has a club foot. I recommend this book for year4s and up. This book keeps you reading with short chapters and amazing cliff hangers. It grabs you and keeps you reading. If you haven’t read this book already, you have been missing out!

What is your favourite book? Make sure you recommend it to me!
